I was doing a quick LA --> Beacon's Perch run and as I arrived I casually checked my guild and friends list. No guildies were on, but Gaile Gray was. Wait, not Gaile Gray, her alternate characters! I tried to screenshot that first one but I just missed it. I decided to stick around to see if she was going to log on to any more. And she did

Here are the names so far:

Gaile Gray Kurzick (the first one I saw and missed the SS)
Gaile Gray Luxons
Dyekiesha Joie <---I'm guessing this is the Canthan character she doesn't play, mentioned by GuildWiki
Gaile Gray Elona

Why is she making all these characters? What purpose do they serve? There were a few mins in between log-ons, so either Gaile was trying to avoid being noticed (which didn't happen), or she was making all these characters as she went. She logged off almost as soon as she logged on, which further proves this theory. It still doesn't explain why shes doing this though. She can't have multiple characters up at once to lessen the chat spam, as they areall in the same account. What would be the purpose of the Canthan character then?

Can anyone shed some light on this

Probably checking her characters for items or that exclusive gaile gray pet I know she has.

Probably she was keylogged and the villain was taking her items?

Perhaps it's a conspiracy to draw our attention away from the Find Gwen hunt?

She had another called Stormy Weather i think, was a while ago, she turned up in Lions Arch at lvl10 with no secondary using dev hax

I think she has said she plays on other accounts so people won't bother her. I think the one's you see are so people know what towns she is in when she comes on line to chat. If you see Gaile Gray Elona, for example, she is probably chatting in Kamadan. She probably created them so people know where she is. Especially if there is an event in multiple locations.

Really, why not just leave her alone? Let her make whatever characters she wants, and play like the rest of us without all the attention and frantic unearthing of information.

Man... I wish I had that many accounts. Seriously. Then again, wasn't there a video with an interview with Gaile Gray and another guy that had one account per profession?

If she wants to play the game without being bothered, she should use an account other than her official one so we can't link them together easily. Last I heard thats exactly what she does. So we can safely assume that any characters on that account are ones that are expected to be known to players.

^ Agreed. We as players don't gain any sort of advantage by knowing her alt names or accounts, but her detractors would know the names they need to spam her, though I suspect the OP truly means well.

In my opinion, I vote that this thread should be closed. I don't see anything good coming out of this.

If she wanted people drooling over a forum post for her character names or ceaselessly PMing her, she wouldn't immediately set to offline or Do Not Disturb. Clearly she wants privacy, let her have it.

Who cares? She's got at least 8 character slots on her official "Gaile Gray" account - why is it so odd that she'd have 4 or 5 (or even 8!) different character names on that account?

For her private accounts, I hope they stay private.

Some people care about this sorta stuff, so I thought I'd post it for their benefit. I didn't mean to be 'stalkerish' or anything. Besides, I always thought her other accounts were for playing on, not her official one, which was for her community relations and all that (which still confuses me - why would you have dye/key storages when your account is for talking and stuff?). I don't know why you would need more than ~12 character slots, which would nicely fit into 1 or 2 accounts. Seeing as she has about 8, I didn't think she would need to put playing characters on her Gaile account.

Btw, I checked GuildWiki for info about this stuff and it didn't have much and thought it could be updated, if anyone cared (don't know how to modify anyway). If it's irrelevant, then ignore this, this was just for people who care (I've met some weird people who really really care).

Meh, I mean well. If no one cares too much about this, then this thread can be closed. I didn't mean to offend anyone, incase I did.

Once again, close/delete this thread if you want (i.e, mods).
